Plot Summary
The story revolves around Arjun, an IT professional who falls in love with Diya, the daughter of businessman Raghunathan and his wife Malathi. After convincing their parents to allow them to marry, Arjun and Diya embark on their honeymoon in Lisbon. However, their trip takes a dark turn when Diya is arrested for drug possession found in her suitcase, while Arjun is also taken into custody due to a gun found in his pocket.
As they navigate this crisis, it becomes apparent that they are being framed. Raghunathan hires ACP Viswanath to investigate the situation after initially expressing anger towards Arjun for taking Diya to Lisbon. Despite being released from custody due to lack of evidence, tensions rise between Arjun and Diya leading to their breakup.
The plot thickens as it is revealed that Pradeep, Diya’s ex-boyfriend, orchestrated their arrests out of revenge after being publicly humiliated by Diya. He planted drugs in her luggage and a gun in Arjun’s possession with the help of gangsters from Portugal. In a confrontation back in Chennai, Arjun discovers Pradeep’s role in the framing and kills him out of rage for ruining Diya’s life.
In a shocking twist, it is unveiled that Raghunathan had ulterior motives; he attempted to kill Diya to inherit her wealth and had previously murdered her father before marrying Malathi. This revelation leads to a climactic moment where Arjun confronts Raghunathan and ultimately kills him as well.
Despite these dramatic events, the film concludes with Arjun and Diya reconciling after overcoming misunderstandings.
