Maharashtra CM says:No probe against 'PK' Mumbai:  Amid reports that the Maharashtra government has asked the police to study Aamir Khan's film PK to determine if it offends religious sentiments, CM Devendra Fadnavis today clarified that there will be no probe against the film in the state according to reports. "Censor board cleared film, no question of not letting it screen... Need to ensure screening continues without incident... Have to ensure law and order is maintained," Mr Fadnavis was quoted saying.

A tussle between television channels and film producers has created a lot of problem for the satellite rights of films. And the problem is also faced by Aamir Khan starrer ‘PK’. A source said, "Over the last six months, no satellite deals have been finalised due to a standoff between the channels and the film producers." Most of the producers are not selling their film's rights as they are not getting a fair amount for their film. "Earlier, the satellite deal used to help recover nearly 40 per cent of the film cost but not anymore," added the source. A senior associate of the satellite market said, "There are producers who are ready to sell their films at a distress price as their films have not made money at the box office . Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK', which takes a swipe at organised religion and godmen, was today at the centre of a controversy with Hindu outfits demanding a ban on the film for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. While the Censor Board too earned the ire of the protesting outfits, its chief Leela Samson said the Board will not remove any scenes from the film. "Every film may hurt religious sentiments of somebody or the other. We can't remove scenes unnecessarily because there is something called creative endeavour where people present things in their own way," the Chairperson of Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) said "We have already given certificate to 'PK' and we can't remove anything now because it's already out for public viewing," she told PTI. Supreme Court Rejects Plea to Ban Aamir's 'PK', Says "Just Don't Watch It."   New Delhi :  Aamir Khan's much-awaited movie PK will not be banned, the Supreme Court ruled today, rejecting a petition that said some scenes in the film hurt religious sentiment and showed nudity.   "If you don't like it, don't watch the film. Don't bring religious facets here," Chief Justice of India, RM Lodha, said, adding, "These are matters of entertainment.  If you restrict it, it will affect others' rights. Everything is on the internet.  What will you hide?"  The court said, "Indian society is very mature and knows the difference between entertainment and other things."

In recent days two FIR’s were filed against PK actor Aamir Khan and Director of the film Rajkumar Hirani for disgracing Hindu Gods and religion. Earlier people showed their anger on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. The secretary of Hindu Legal Cell Prashant Patel has now reportedly filed FIR against Actor and Director of the film. The dialogue ‘Jo darta hai wo hi mandir jaata hai’ has been specially mentioned in the FIR. Prashant Patel said that FIR has been filed by Delhi police on his complaint and police is investigating the matter. He further said that if the police fails to take the action, HCL (Hindi Legal Cell) will move to court.

Sanjay Dutt, who walked out of prison on Wednesday on a 14-day furlough, will watch his release ‘pk’ during a special screening on 25 December. Sanjay Dutt , will be watching the film, where he made a special appearance, for the first time on Christmas. “He had not seen any cut of the film before. He also missed being a part of the entire promotions. Now that he is out, he will be watching the film with the entire cast and crew at a preview theatre in Santacruz,” said a statement from the film’s production team.
