Son of oldest litigant to replace father in Babri Masjid case!

The Youngest son of Farooq Ahmad,
the oldest litigant in Babri Masjid case who died on Wednesday, will now
replace his father in the Supreme Court along with six other litigants in the
case.
"Mohammad Umar, the youngest
son of Farooq Ahmad -- the oldest litigant in Babri mosque case who died on
Wednesday, 24/12/2014 at the age of 100 years -- will inherit his father's
legal hierarchy in the case," Uttar Pradesh's Additional Advocate General
and convenor of Babri Masjid Action Committee Zafaryab Jilani said.
Confirming the move, Umar told PTI,
"I will fight the Babri Masjid case from now onwards."
Umar (45) will replace his father in
the case as one of the main seven litigants from Muslim side. The other six
main litigants in this case are, Ashhad Rashidi, Hashim Ansari, Maulana Mahfuz
Ur Rahman, Haji Misbah Uddin, Mufti Hasbullah and Sunni Central Waqf Board.
Umar's grandfather, Mohammad Zahur,
was one of the original complainant regarding the placing of the idols of Lord
Rama in Babri Masjid in December 1949.
