Maulana Azad’s birthday to be celebrated as Minorities Day – KCR

Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao, CM of Telangana State issued orders to celebrate the birthday of the first Education Minister of Independent India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad as “Minorities Day” on 11th November 2014. These celebrations will be organized officially in all the Govt. Departments and schools to highlight welfare schemes for minorities. It may be worth noting that last year also, officially it was announced to celebrate Maulana Azad’s birthday as the National Day of Education but no special programs were organized. It is to be seen that whether the present TRS Govt. celebrates it or not.
